BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Gallant has over 12 years experience in designing and developing systems as a Senior Programmer Analyst, Application Designer and Technical Architect. He has been involved for the last 5 years in Object Oriented Analysis and Design of multi-tier, distributed applications, including J2EE application servers and Java middleware solutions.

PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
For a national banking concern, developed a web application to track router and ATM configurations, utilizing WebSphere application server on UNIX, going against MS SQL Server and Oracle backends. May 2001 Ongoing.
For an insurance company, Gallant was a web architect for a commerce web site. This role includes stress testing, prototyping of Enterprise Java Beans, as well as configuring target application server products. Implemented prototypes using three application servers: Websphere, BEA Commerce Server, JRUN. Implemented Java connectors to mainframe CICS transactions. Implemented Userprofile and Session cache Enterprise Javabeans for commerce application written in ColdFusion. 10 months, 2000-2001.
- For a leading Internet Application Service Provider, Mr. Gallant worked as a web architect on an Enterprise Java Bean implementation of a commerce server. This commerce server included a Java servlet implementation along with an Oracle database backend running on UNIX. This role included application design, availability analysis and stress testing. 3 months, 2000.
- For a Rail maintenance company, Mr. Gallant worked as Java developer and application architect. This application utilized Java servlets, an application server running Java middle tier, talking to an Oracle database backend. 6 months, 1999 – 2000.
- For an insurance company Mr. Gallant participated in key roles on an 18-month application development project. He served as application architect, development team lead and a mentor for the development resources. This project entailed implementing a three-tier architecture and building a web-enabled front-end to a backend mainframe insurance administration system. As application architect, Mr. Gallant developed a multi tier application design using CORBA Java mid tier components going against a CICS/DB2 backend. As the GUI Team Lead, he used Java Swing components and OrbixWeb CORBA services to talk to a CORBA middle tier. This 12+ person GUI team included both client and consultant resources, with varying Java skill sets. 19 months, 1997 - 1999
- As team lead on a supply chain management project, Mr. Gallant architected, developed and implemented a three-tier web application using Microsoft Transaction Server and Visual Basic against a legacy backend. The application tracked the product from initial inception to final delivery from the warehouse. The team was composed of both client and consultant resources, with client resources new to the technical environment. 4 months, 1997
- As part of an electronic forms delivery project, Mr. Gallant developed an ActiveX DLL providing business tier services. He was involved in the prototyping of electronic forms built in Microsoft Word utilizing Visual Basic for Applications to provide business intelligence. Several different styles of prototypes were designed integrating various built-in features of the Microsoft Office environment. 4 months 1997
- Mr. Gallant co-developed a front-end written in Visual Foxpro 3.5 which interfaced with a FormFlow forms engine application via DDE. The application design and implementation utilize OOPs technology for greater code re-usability. 12 months 1996 - 1997
- As a developer Mr. Gallant designed standards documentation and wrote a proof-of-concept application for an Intranet Project, using HTML web pages, Java applets and server-sided SQL scripts. 3 months 1997.
- Mr. Gallant authored several articles on Java, published on the Cap Gemini Internet User Group page, as well as an article on the Visual Basic 4.0 IDE, which has been published at Crescent Software's VB Home Page (February 1996.) He wrote "Extending Visual Basic 5.0 with Add-Ins" for VBOnline magazine (June 1997). He authored two commercial-quality educational software packages, Graph Crazy and School Crazy. These packages which remain in wide distribution throughout North America are written in Visual Basic 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0. 1996, 1997
- As a consultant he developed a screen designer application written in Visual Basic 3.0 with extensive use of Windows 3.1 API to control placement, sizing, appearance and data-access properties. Application wrote to a proprietary form engine data format. 8 months 1995 - 1996
- As a consultant he developed an Access data entry system for GIS developer Nautical Data International Inc. The system tracks map data across several layers for export. 3 months 1995
